ORCHID LAKES
COARSE  FISHING  WITH  THE  ESSEX  ANGLER

Orchid Lakes has a long history and fine reputation for providing carp angling and has a reputation second to none.
Situated in the heart of the Thames Valley, just south of Oxford approximately one mile from the delightful and historic village of Dorchester-on-Thames.
There are three, well stocked, mature gravel pit lakes all of which are maintained in perfect order with very large, purpose built swims in prominent areas around Orchid Lake.
Facilities include an anglers' lodge providing anglers with ladies, gents and disabled toilets together with a shower, and a cafe.
As an added service to anglers, transport is made available to take you and your tackle to your chosen swim.
There is also 24 hour a day security presence on site.

ORCHID LAKE - 17½ acres in size and surrounded by an abundance of mature trees, including many impressive weeping willows.
Although well known for the quality of its general fishing it has recently come to National prominence for its reputation for producing very large carp.
There are 33 known different 30's, with four of them recorded at over 37lbs, one of them weighing in at an impressive 40lb 8ozs. Eight of the 30lb fish are Commons and backing this up, there are perhaps some two hundred carp up to 30lbs.
Orchid lake probably offers one of the best chance of a thirty that you could possibly have on any day ticket water in the country.

DORCHESTER LAGOON - A 40 acre gravel pit that has become well known for the quality of its fishing, producing Roach to 3lb 4ozs, Tench to 9lb 4ozs and Pike to over 33lbs and also boasts a good head of big carp and has produced Commons to 38lbs 6ozs.
Stocking has included over 2 tons of Bream to 11lbs, between 1 and 1½ tons of Roach and Perch to over 2lbs.
Despite the outstanding catches to date, the Lagoon is still very much a mystery water and many are convinced that it contains big fish to over 40lb.

CLUB LAKE - At just under 2 acres, the Club Lake holds a large head of just about everything including catfish to just under 30lbs. It has been recently stocked with over 2 tons of fish and with 40 pegs it is an ideal venue for match fishing. Day, afternoon, evening or night matches can be tailored to suit your needs. Your club can book the whole lake for only £120 for the whole day - working out at just £3 per peg.
